In 2024, DRW was proud to support a major infrastructure upgrade at Beattock Primary School, located in Dumfries and Galloway. Commissioned by Dumfries and Galloway Council and delivered in partnership with main contractor Ashleigh Construction, this project involved a full roof replacement and comprehensive electrical refurbishment across the school.
DRW’s specialist team was responsible for a wide range of electrical and solar-related services, including:

- Full strip-off and safe removal of existing solar photovoltaic panels
- Reinstatement and reconfiguration of the PV system following roof replacement

- Electrical Infrastructure Renewal:
- Complete replacement of containment systems for small power, data, and lighting
- Installation of new cabling and wiring throughout the building
- Upgrades to meet modern safety and efficiency standards
- Lighting Upgrade:
- Installation of high-efficiency Thorlux LED lighting across all teaching and communal areas
- Improved energy performance and lighting quality for staff and pupils
- Integration with smart controls where applicable
