Annan Academy – Kitchen Refurbishment
DRW Electrical Group carried out the electrical installation associated with the refurbishment of the existing kitchen facilities at Annan Academy for Dumfries & Galloway Council. The project involved the removal and replacement of a number of kitchen appliances and their associated electrical supplies, replacement lighting and alterations to existing electrical systems.
Our works included new electrical distribution, containment, LED lighting, emergency lighting, small power, supplies to new kitchen equipment, earthing and bonding, together with alterations to the existing electrical installation.
As part of the refurbishment, DRW installed a new 18-way three-phase distribution board serving the kitchen, upgraded the existing supply from a 200A to 250A MCCB, and modified existing distribution equipment to accommodate the new installation.
The project required careful coordination with the new commercial kitchen equipment to ensure the electrical installation and power supplies were correctly positioned and integrated within the refurbished space.
On completion, DRW carried out the required electrical testing, commissioning and certification, providing a fully operational and compliant electrical installation ready for the kitchen to return to service.
